POGA Companies is a collection of enterprises based in Memphis designed to improve people’s lives and address the needs of those it serves. POGA is founded and led by Michael Scarbrough who has been fortunate to experience a long history of successful entrepreneurial pursuits. Our businesses are focused in real estate, health care, and investments, with plans to expand into other business segments over time.
POGA stands for Place of Good Abode, the meaning of the word Memphis. POGA is of and for Memphis and taking what makes this place so special to the rest of the world. Memphis is a city full of historical achievements and contributions to the world at large, whether through commerce or culture. We introduced the world to supermarkets, overnight package delivery, supplied cotton and hardwood, is the home of the Blues, and the birthplace of Rock & Roll.
It is also a city full of grit and determination to tackle any problems that come at it. That is the kind of impact and culture POGA and its businesses plan to make and create.
